Sleepless nights during my studies I did a lot of. The eyes sticking, the eyelids that fall while trying to stay attentive on the project on which we work. We take breaks, too many breaks to try to not to sink, and then we darken little by little, it's hard to stay focused, I know well. But in Finland, I had one of my best all-nighters, of a unique kind, where fatigue does not even exist, where the cold disappears in favor of wonder. Yes because in Finland we lived one night white who turned green.
We need to put things in context. Wednesday March 7th is our last day in Lapland. The beginning of the evening is spent with loick to watched Tothenham get eliminated in champions league. Then to wander in our big sauna, to take "vibes" one last time.
We often watch the sky, just to see if the aurora would not to be out to finish this trip in beauty. But anything, the sky is navy blue, yet the stars start to come off ..
There is a spot that the managers of our cottage know well to observe the aurora protected from light pollution. It is a frozen lake located ten minutes walk at the top of a hill covered with fir trees.
Loick, Hadrian and Romane are bubbling, the sky is burning. The sky is crazy, aurora takes the whole sky.
