I remember this Friday, January 19, 2018, it was today the big departure. My friends and mate Quentin had slept at home. Our last French breakfast is always in the mouth, a simple table where was stored croissants, good orange juice, fresh fruit and a "baguette".
Since Finland and our city of Turku, this is different there is no more bread, pastry, or even good juice.
After being warmly prepared for the start, we had already donned tights for fear of the Finnish cold. But we were only in France, in the direction of Orly airport to join our third friends Loïck. The excitement was felt more and more. Every minute it was repeated that we were going to set foot in Finland and it was going to be cold.
The trip started with a 1-hour flight delay at Orly. In the meantime we have done some alcohol shopping at the duty free knowing that in our host country it will be two to three times more expensive.
After boarding, we managed to put ourselves side by side in the plane . During the flight we began to read our various guides who spoke about Finland. We evoked the great north, the different cities and capitals around that we wanted to visit. We were eager to discover our apartment in Turku . The latter had a Sauna that we were eager to try and we already imagined sweating in it. But for the moment the only perspiration was ours produced by all the layers to protect us from the cold who was not at the appointment.
