We went all together to the Kurjenrahka National Park, typical of the Finnish natural expanses, with breathtaking calm and beauty. So I returned for my part and plan to return in late April to discover a new landscape after the melting snow and the awakening of nature.

The Kurjenrahka National Park covers the municipalities of Aura, Masku, Mynämäki, Nousiainen, Pöytyä, Rusko and Turku. It is located 35 km from Turku. It covers an area of 29 square kilometers and is the largest protected natural area in southwestern Finland. It is very easy to get there by bus from the city center.

When we went there, the lakes were frozen and covered with a thick layer of snow which allowed us to walk on one of them and even picnick. An area composed of a few cottages near this lake allows you to warm up if necessary, to make a small fire, and even to learn the species populating the park and many other things !
This park is a real favorite for me as it is exotic and sometimes seems far from everything when we walk there. It is possible to cross lynxes, squirrels, fox and even bears in the hot period! For my part, I saw only a huge rappace far above me in the sky, and some traces of fox and rabbit.
I let you admire these few photos, you will find much more on our facebook page and on the internet of course !
