Today I will talk about a things that I discover in Finland. I have a room in a student’s buildings with a lot of trees around. ne day, when I was going to school, I noticed that there were a lot of pair of shoes in some trees. What does it mean?! Nobody seems to really know. So I made some research online and found several theories about this, for some people each person have a meaning of this practise but I think the most common explanation is that the shoes delimit an area where there is drugs, or the location of a "crack house", but I do not know how it's supposed to work. The shoes are laced and thrown on the electric lines in town.

But I don’t think that this explanation is the right explanation for this place. While doing myresearch I came across a documentary called The Mystery of Flying Kicks. In this documentary course, several people explain their definition of shoes tossing. The word "remember," for example, someone says, "Yeah, I hung up a pair of pumps in this area, there are a lot of restaurants here, and when the employees leave, they throw their pumps as souvenirs. , and take a picture of it. " Or "Sometimes people have old pairs of broken sneakers, they can not give them to a charity, they do not want to throw them away, so they tie the laces together and throw them over a And when they see their pair of suspended pumps, they relive the memories they've made when they wear them. "

I therefore think that the reason for the existence of these trees in front of my building is due to a desire to remember and mark its passage in Turku
