What do you eat in Finland ?!

When we left France, we were not serene enough about what we were going to eat in Finland, even if we had been told that we would find just about everything in France, except maybe our dear cheese.

What was our surprise! In Turku, you can find everything you want, in shops, markets and restaurants! There is a daily market until 13-14h on the main square in the middle of the city. Overall, prices are similar to what is found in France. Cheese and sausages are more expensive and less diverse. The most difficult thing in terms of food : there is no bakery strictly speaking in Finland. It is obviously possible to find bread and pastries, but when you know the French bakeries it is the most difficult.

On the other hand, the restaurants are very good here as in France ! It's exactly the same. We do not go to the restaurant very much because we like to cook well (the salmon is very good here and not too expensive, maximum 20 euros per kilo at the fish shop), but when we go out to eat in town or elsewhere, we are really not disappointed ! Whether sushi, burger or other.

Overall we eat so very well! Just take the time to do our shopping and cook a little, as in France in fact!

Here, for the pleasure of the eyes, some photos taken during our escapades to restaurants.
