In Finland, people go very often to the sauna. There are different types of sauna: the private and the public. Some people have sauna in their flat (or sometimes in their apartment directly) and other goes to the public sauna in the city. Sauna could be mixed or divided for men or women. When they are divided, men like to be nude in the sauna. In the harbor cities or if there is a lake, we can find a sauna in which we can go in the water after. Scales enable to get into a hole in the ice. During our trip in Lapland, we have had a sauna in front of the see, but we haven't had the opportunity to go in the water after. During my week-end in Tampere with friends, I have tried this inevitable thing. So, we have stayed into the warmer room of the sauna (at 100°C) and we have gone down into the water (at 1°C). The first time the feeling is very strange, we feel tinglings on our skin but the next time, it's smoother and we get used to. After going down into the water, we oftently stay in front of the sauna, in the cold and the feeling is huge. After 1:30 hour of this ritual, we were tired, so we have decided that was time to go home. We are very happy to make this experience, we don't have any regret to try this and we want to make that again.
